“One Step at a Time” Since each journey starts with a first step, then lets choose just one small thing when we begin that journey. For example: 1) Each day I eat a fruit and a cup of soy milk for a snack. 2) I examine my breathing when I am stressed and relax my gut. 3) I do a spinal twist before I eat breakfast, lunch, and dinner. We get better at what we practice so why not practice something that is “doable”? More

Use Cinnamon for its anti-viral, antiseptic, decongestant qualities. Eat cinnamon, drink as tea, or use it as a bath soak for its healing properties. Many clinical studies have linked cinnamon consumption to lowered blood sugar. Cinnamon is also thought to detoxify the system and stimulate brain function. Its antiseptic properties give it the ability to help fight bladder infection. it cant hurt to sprinkle a teaspoon into your next bowl of oatmeal, cereal, tea, or bathtub. BATH SOAK – mix 2-3 T of cinnamon with 1 c of Epsom salts. Use 1/4 c per bath or soak your feet. Wet a towel with this blend and wrap it around the back of your neck! TEA – add a cinnamon stick to your next cup of tea. Leave it there while you steep your tea. Use it to mix honey into your tea. FOOD SUPPLEMENT – store a shaker of cinnamon where you will notice it. A small change that will benefit everyone – next time you buy cleaning products switch to a more environmentally friendly item. You can clean wood with mineral oil. Baking soda mixed with white vinegar works well in the kitchen and bathroom. Laundry detergent comes in ecologically-friendly versions. Refill your old containers with your own mixtures. Read labels, ask others, look around. Remember, you get better at what you practice. Why not practice toxic-free living? More
